COMMUNITY-BASED PREVENTION SERVICES
Scope of Work: To provide substance misuse information to the public through policy changes, advertising, and promotional events.
Prevention Work:
Advertising (billboard, radio, newspapers)
Speakers for coalition sponsored events (Red Ribbon Week, National Drug and Alcohol Fact
Week, Wellness Fairs, Alcohol Awareness Month, etc.)
Lockboxes and deterra disposal bags for opioid and stimulant counties

THE COMPREHENSIVE OPIOID, STIMULANT, AND SUBSTANCE USE SITE-BASED PROGRAM (COSSUP) GRANT
Prevention Work:
1. Keepin’ it REAL – schedule and pay for training of two (2) local law enforcement in each county the first year of the grant (includes registration, curriculum, and purchase student handbooks every year of the grant) and recertification for year 2 and 3.
2. Attrition trainings will be provided for each county year 2 and 3 of the grant
3. Naloxone Kits, lockboxes, and disposal bags will be purchased for each county sheriff. They will distribute the kits to local law enforcement and first responders in their counties.
4. Drug Take-Back Events will be conducted twice a year. Purchase large deterra containers for Drug Take-Back Events
