Work Ready Oklahoma

Our goal at Work Ready Oklahoma is to help you strengthen your job skills to quickly get back to work, keep your job, and advance your career.

Work Ready Oklahoma is made possible through It’s My Community Initiative and other key partners like South Western Oklahoma Development Authority (SWODA). Our programs are funded through various sources including the U.S. Department of Labor.

Work Ready Oklahoma offers career planning and goal setting, identifying obstacles to employment, career coaching and mentoring, workshops to improve job skills, training and education, job placement assistance, and career advancement tools and guidance.

Work Ready Oklahoma is completely free to eligible individuals. Work Ready Oklahoma serves a wide range of people who are facing employment barriers. This includes veterans, long-term unemployed or underemployed individuals, those with a history of incarceration, and others who face challenges in finding work. Selection for Work Ready Oklahoma is based on eligibility requirements, skills, abilities, talent, and attitude. We gather information from each candidate about education, work history, and other issues that could impact services.

After eligibility is verified and you are enrolled, you will work with a Career Coach to create an individual career plan. This career plan will reflect your employment, training, and education goals. It will also include any other supportive services that can help you reach your goals. We will help with tuition, certification and licensure for those that qualify.
