South Western Oklahoma Development Authority Board presents service awards

The South Western Oklahoma Development Authority (SWODA) Board of Trustees honored the service of four board members and six SWODA employees at the monthly meeting held Tuesday, Dec. 12, in Burns Flat. SWODA Board Chairman Carl Don Campbell presented the awards.

Board members receiving service awards were Chuck Dougherty, at-large representative, five years; Damon Dunbar, at-large representative, five years; Carl Don Campbell, Beckham County commissioner representative, 10 years; and Tom Talley, Kiowa County municipalities’ representative, 15 years.

SWODA employees honored for their service were Susan Featherston, director of finance, five years; Samantha Walker, Area Aging for Agency planner, 10 years; Ada Vanderford, I&A assistant for Aging Services, 15 years; Michael Ryburn, director of business development 20 years; Clyde Morgan, senior community development specialist, 25 years; and Tangela Henry, I&A assistant NWPSA 11/SWODA Aging Services case coordinator, 30 years.

Campbell also presented Perfect Attendance certificates to SWODA board members who attended the meetings held from January through December of 2017. Members receiving awards were as follows: Anita Archer, at-large representative; Leo Goeringer, Washita County commissioner representative; John Gallagher, Harmon County municipalities’ representative; Geary Caswell, Harmon County conservation district representative; and John Dee Butchee, Jackson County conservation district representative.

SWODA Executive Director Debora Glasgow honored Blake Roberts, Jackson County municipalities’ representative, as an outgoing board member. Roberts served on the SWODA Board of Directors for 19 years.
