It's that time of the year again, show your support for the continuing funding of Bike/Ped programs.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) invites your school and community to join more than 40 countries worldwide on October 3, 2012 by participating in the 2012 International Walk to School Day.  This annual event helps bring attention to the need for safe walking and biking facilities to and from schools in our communities.

Register your event by  September 17, 2012 (4:30 pm). The first 120 registered events will receive
FREE festive promotional items from ODOT to help make your events fun and safe for participants.  Simply click on the link below and follow the directions to register (or google "International Walk to School Day 2012").  A list of registered events will be provided to the media for potential coverage. Contact me if you have problems registering.

REMEMBER, SAFETY FIRST:  All events should be organized and  the safety of those participating considered when planning your events.

Promotional Items:  It is with regret that we are unable to provide items for each individual participant Statewide.  We recommend that items received be used as prizes for biking and walking safety game.
